Happy 30th Marne!

My good friend Marne turned 30 on Sat. and we went out to celebrate. We had a ton of fun! I don't get to see her very often so it was nice to spend some time together.

Jer's cousin Tommy is graduating on Tues night and we went to his openhouse this weekend. Kaya again got to play with her cousins this week! What more could a kid want.

Our last swimming lesson...

I thought we had 2 classes left, but it ends up that Sat. was the last swimming class. Kaya certainly can't swim, she would sink to the bottom like a rock, but she has gotten a little background on what she is supposed to do, and is much more comfortable in the water, but yet knows she should be afraid also. I think this class was awesome for her, and am planning on getting her enrolled again in the fall. Summer is just too busy for that.
This was her face after she jumped off the diving board this week the 1st time. A little scared, but sort of excited yet.
Below is her the 2nd time around. As you can see she is not as brave as she makes herself seem to be. She talked it up all week, how she jumped off the diving board last week, and was so proud of herself. As you can see she cried her eyes out and was fighting it for all it was worth. So...

And threw her in!! Hence the bluriness. She was absolutely pissed about it. Poor kid. Although... she still wants to talk it up like she was this brave little toaster about the whole thing. So, don't let her fool you, the pics tell the truth.

Huge Sterk Gathering...Look Out!

We had a huge Sterk gathering at the park this week. There are 310 people who were invited, and there were I heard about 240 there! This is just our little Sterk family's table in the pic. There were a lot more people than this! We even had to wear nametags there were so many of us. It was fun to see/meet everyone.

Rylee thought it was so funny to sit at the bottom and jump off the slide right before Kaya almost rammed her off. They had lots of fun together, as always. It is so fun that they are getting bigger, and able to play together and hang out. They are best of buds for sure!

Camping trip...

We went camping this weekend with the Sutter's at Shelly Lake. It is near White Cloud. We had a ton of fun. The kids had a blast playing together, and getting dirty.
Kaya thought having a walking stick was the coolest thing ever. At one point she had 2 of them, and said her leg was hurt. Apparently she knows what crutches are for. :)

This was at 9:15 AM!!! My daughter was worn out after all the fun. She slept the latest out of all of us, and later than ever in her life! Why could I have not been home in my bed sleeping and taking advantage of this??

This is Blondie, and she was Kaya's favorite part of the camping trip. She could have sat with Blondie on her lap all day if I would have let her. She keeps talking about her.

Going on 3 months...

That I haven't bitten my nails!! I am very proud of these here nails. I just have to continue to not bite them. I need some willpower, and I don't have much.

If you haven't already heard...

Kaya wants the whole world to know that she jumped off the diving board at swimming lessons! It was awesome! She was a little scared, but so proud once it was over, and she can not stop talking about it. Lessons have been going really well, and Kaya is getting much more comfortable going under water. Still hesitant, but is okay with it. We only have 2 weeks left of classes this time around. I really want to do it again. She loves it!

This is Kaya's "little sister". She keeps calling her that, and making us hug and kiss her goodnight before bed as if she is real.
As you can see Kaya is bottoming out this stroller, and making marks on the carpet. It is for dolls, not big Kaya's, but they sure had fun, and thought they were sooo funny!

If wondering...

The garage sale went pretty good this past weekend. I made some money and got rid of lots of stuff! It feels awesome! I still have a lot of things to find something to do with, but the pile is definately smaller. What a relief. I am glad it is over though, I put a lot of work into that sale.
If you are wondering... Yes, this does mean that we have decided that Kaya is going to be an only child, so QUIT asking! :)

Kaya's 1st fieldtrip

Kaya went on a fieldtrip today with her class. They went to the GR Children's Museum. Jeremy got to go along as a chaperone too! He was very excited about it, and mommy was very jealous and sad about it. They had a lot of fun. As you can see Kaya got to ride on a school bus! That was ofcourse her favorite part about the trip.

How does this happen??

In less than 3 years...

Some of this is friend's, but I have to admit that the majority of it is mine. It is almost ridiculous. I can not believe how much time I have put into organizing this mess into what you see. Hours, and hours, and hours. I am praying things sell and I can make some money! We can certainly use it. :) :(
So, needless to say this is where my nights have been, to the wee hours...
And here I am blogging too...
