Disney on Ice

I had the pleasure of taking Kaya to see Disney on Ice: 100 Years Of Magic. We had a great time. She hasn't stopped talking about it yet.Kaya with the horse that I bought for her at the show. She is obsessed with this thing!
My favorite part of the show was Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Here is some huge cheese face for you! I almost deleted it, but I laugh every time I look at it, so I had to share it with you all. :)

Here is Kaya almost falling asleep on my lap. Two hours was quite long, I agree.
The grand finale.
Everyone came out on stage together. This was Kaya's favorite part about being downtown. The smokestacks. She kept telling me, "Mom, take a picture!" So, here you go! :) She thinks it is blowing clouds!

In case you missed it...

My picture does it no justice, but I had to get a pic. Venus was hanging out by the moon and it was absolutely gorgeous! I hope you got to see it for yourself!

Just the girls...

Ok, so seriously I hope this was the last real snow of the year. I am done with snow. Really. Kaya and I did have a ton of fun playing in the snow though, and I even took her to the "big" hill at Lamar Park. It was big enough to where I wouldn't let her go by herself. Her and I went together quite a few times, and there were some jumps in the air, spinning, crashing, etc going on with us. No way would I let her do it on her own! We had a blast though. She can't stop talking about it.
Now, Spring can come anytime...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Kaya wrote on all 30 of the Valentine's in her pack! I totally thought she was going to give up, but she didn't. As you can see she is having problems making a "K' in her name, so all 30 of them said, "AYA". I was super proud of her though. She is the only one in her class who is writing her name. :)She made her crown at school that day, and of course had to wear it all evening.
UPDATE: As of the day after Valentine's Day, 2/15/09 Kaya is now able to make her "K'. She is writing all kinds of words now and doing so great with it! I am so thankful she is interested in learning because it sure makes it easier.

Another gymnastics class

Gymnastics has been going very well. She is such a good girl and I love watching her be so independant, brave, outgoing, excited, and listening to her teachers. For the most part she does what she is supposed to, waits in line, raises her hand. She makes me so proud. It is so fun watching her grow up but these last few months have been an enormous jump straight into a little girl. She is way too grown up and it needs to slow down. Go Eli! He has gotten a lot more brave in the last few weeks. It is awesome to see him trying new things. This little guy has some charm in him, and a smile that could win over anyone. He's got the 2 coaches wrapped around his little finger.
