Trick or Treat!

We had an awesome Halloween this year! The weather could not have been better. The Pitzer's came over to have dinner and go "trunk or treating". We went to 2 churches in my neighborhood that were giving candy out of their trunks in the parking lot. It worked out perfect! We did hit up some houses up on the way there and back too. The girls did so well! They knew what to do, and even said their thank you's. It was too cute to watch them!My little monkey!

Halloween Party at School...

Jer and I both got to go to Kaya's party this year! They went on a parade over to the big kid's school and then came back and had a little party.
They decorated their own cookies with frosting and sprinkles.
Here's Kaya working on her cookie. Her hair is all sweaty from the parade. That monkey costume was HOT! Poor girl.

Kaya and her friend Kendall giggling in their costumes.
Me reading a book to Kaya and Sydney.
They read a pumpkin story together and made all the sound effects they had worked on for the parents. It sure was cool to be able to spend some time in her classroom and see them in action. It is nice to see where my child spends atleast 45 hours a week! She ofcourse loved having us there, but had a huge meltdown when we had to leave, which broke our hearts.

Amy is in town!!!

There is nothing better than spending time with good friends...Amy is living in California right now and she is home for 2 weeks to hang out. It is so nice to have her home and be able to spend some much needed time with her!

Carving our pumpkins...

We went to pick out pumpkins tonight and had so much fun! Kaya picked a small one, and decided she wanted a "mad" pumpkin. I was in the garage trying to find some more newspaper to put down, and when I came back in Kaya had the table all set up to carve pumpkins...I was so impressed! She had a knife and spoon out for each of us! I thought it was funny and oh so cute!

One happy little carver...

And our finished product...

Kaya's mad pumpkin, the happy Mommy pumpkin, and Daddy's skull pumpkin. (that he carved with a dremel tool.)

Playing in the Rain...

Kaya loves the rain, mainly because she loves her umbrella! As soon as we got home from school she wanted her umbrella and raincoat on, so out we went...

A big mess of fun!!

We don't really have space at our house to have everyone over at the same time, so we had to split Kaya's bday up a little. We had her friend's and some of her cousins over for a tie-dye party on Sat. Abby and I have been wanting to tie-dye for a long time, so finally we got it together. It wasn't really a bday party, but sort of a bday activity of sorts. We all had a ton of fun. It was slightly chaotic with all the kids around, and permanant dye, but it all worked out in the longrun! Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves and have some cool items to wear!Addison, Kaya, and Kaleb hanging out.
Rylee joined the bunch!

Abby and Sara rubberbanding their things.
The kiddos playing outside.
Kaya, Rylee, and Addison all looking for bugs. They found some worms only but loved it!
Looking at thier findings.
Jon, Nicole, Matt, Colin, and Katelyn hanging out.

The whole mess of us making a mess.
Kaya helping Mommy dye some socks!

Kaya showing you how old she is!!
Kaleb and Kaya eating their cupcakes. Notice Kaleb's frosing is gone! Kaya's wasn't too far behind.

Our final product!!

Which happen to be the coolest sheets ever!!!
I love Kaya's new sheets. That was my biggest goal of the tie-dye party and I absolutely LOVE how they turned out! Her pillow case is kind of stripey, and the sheets have the big circles. What a lucky girl to have such cool sheets!

These are some of the other items we did. Some shirts for Kaya, and some stained baby clothes that now have a face lift!

My poor dog...

She hates her sweater, but she hates cold weather too! Poor thing! Maci is now almost 4 1/2 lbs. That's huge compared to 1 1/2 when we got her 3 months ago! Her extra-small sweater is too big though...

Sooner or later...

I knew my turn would arrive!
And it was my great idea to get her markers for her bday!
Obviously not such a great idea! And her 3 year pic appt is in the morning!! Washable, yeah right Crayola! Most of it eventually came off, and actually the easiest off of her face, but the legs were another story.
Grandma and Grandpa Sterk got her this sleeping bag air mattress combo for her bday. She loves it!

My baby is 3!!?!

Happy Birthday Kaya Raine!!
Lots of presents! Auntie Karen, in the background, shares a bday with Kaya! Happy Bday to Auntie Karen too!
Kaya asked for a "fishstick" necklace for her bday. Don't ask, b/c we don't know...
But, Grandma Sterk, found her this "fish" necklace instead. Nemo smells a lot better than rotten fishsticks!

Daddy made this Dora cake for Kaya all by himself! I was so proud of him for taking it on. Besides Dora being pretty dark skinned, he did an awesome job! Kaya loved it! (And never even mentioned the dark skin tone.)
Kaya and Grandma Sterk.
Playing with her new dollhouse furniture.
Mommy and Kaya. Best of buds! Oh 3 years ago today how different things were...
New markers and a huge coloring book! Kaya loves coloring, and art.

She had an awesome bday! Thanks to everyone who shared in the special day!

A quick trip back 3 years...

Unreal!!! Thank God something beautiful came out of that mess!

She still looks the same to me, that is amazing.
