The end of our Christmas Extravaganza

I thought this pic of Kaya and Rylee was so cute. Kaya's hair is getting darker by the second, so I have to soak it in while I still can.

It was also Grandpa's birthday! Kaya spent some time hangin' out on his lap.

Chrismas Day

Kaya got to hang out with her Great Grandparents on Christmas Day. She absolutely loves it over there. She is constantly showing off for them because she knows that is what they want her to do. :) She brings them more joy than I can even imagine. It is cool to have this time to cherish.

Christmas Morning 2007

Kaya got a new baby for Christmas, and Mommy made them both a matching scarf. Kaya thought that was pretty cool. The first thing she did was eat the cookie crumbs that Santra had left behind. That was better than the presents he brought for sure. It was a fun Christmas for all of us this year. It is nice that Kaya is starting to be able to understand, and she definately has the present unwrapping perfected at this point.

Sterk Christmas

We had such a good time at the Sterk's on Christmas Eve. The kids always have so much fun together, and it is even more exciting now that they are able to communicate and play with each other so much better. Katelyn is starting to interact and hang out more too. It is so much fun to watch her grow up.

Rylee and Kaya got matching sweaters made by Grandma ofcourse. Eli got a blue one too. Here is Kaya coughing while she is posing to get her picture taken. Attractive, I know.

Playing in the snow...

We went sledding today at Lamar Park, and we had so much fun! Kaya absolutely loved it, and she even got to go down all the fresh snow covered slides. She did NOT want to go home.

Her laugh is priceless.

She loves to eat snow. I try to tell her no, but do you think she listens to me? She likes to say that it's "ice cream". She knows better, but she thinks she is awfully funny for calling it that. She has been starting to pretend lately a lot. It is so funny to watch her. She interacts with her dolls now too, and has been making them walk around. It is too cute!

She was very intrigued by the snowblower.

Christmas Party with the Whole Sterk Family

Kaya loves singing with her Auntie Karen. They have lots of favorites that they know together, and sing together every Saturday morning at Mr. Burger. Here is one they sang for all of us at the Christmas party. These memories sure are priceless.

Trying to get rid of the FAT!!!

Okay so, for all of you who have been asking, here ya go! I am sooo embarrassed to have this 1st pic on here, due to the HUGE belly I have in it. Yes, Kaya was 12 months old in that pic, and mommy was just still that fat. Disgusting, I know! I have been dieting since March 26, 2007 and I have now officially dropped 42 pounds!! I am smaller than I was pre-pregnancy, and even smaller than I was on my wedding day! :) I am wearing the same outfit in both pics for the comparison. It was very amusing having those pants on let me tell ya!
Move over Jared... Megan is coming through!

Mommy got a new camera!!

Jer got our family a new camera!! I have been wanting one for a long time, and the day finally came! I have been playing around with it a little tonight, trying to figure it all out. Here are a few of our trial photos of our beautiful little girl. :)

Kaya's 1st Christmas Program

Kaya had a Christmas program through school, and it was way too cute! She hammed it up, and showed off the most! She seems to be the ringleader of the bunch. Does that surprise any of you? The pics of the group didn't turn out so good, but I had to put them on anyway. Here is the video, hopefully it works.

Kaya is in a big girl bed!!

My baby is officially not a baby anymore. The crib is long gone. She is so proud! Mommy hasn't quite gotten over it yet. It is a huge milestone in the life of a mother, atleast this mother, to have to permanantly put away your baby's crib. It was a sad day for me. Thanksgiving night was her first night in her new bed, and she hasn't gone back. We waited until today to take the crib down just in case, but she has done awesome!! I can honeastly say it went smoother than I ever imagined it would. We didn't have a problem whatsoever. We just told her she either stayed in her big girl bed, or she goes back to the baby bed, and she officially wanted nothing to do with her "baby" bed. And that was that...

Thanksgiving 2007

Kaya hung out with her Sterk cousins for Thanksgiving this year. They had a ton of fun together. Katelyn is almost 6 months old already! It goes so fast. Kaya had the most fun in Katelyn's bouncy seat, bottoming it out of course. Eli is sportin' his new do, I am not so sure he knows what to think about it yet...

Trick Or Treat!

Kaya had an evening of fun with her cousins for Halloween. She did an awesome job trick or treating but she tends to enjoy whispering at the times when she's supposed to speak up. They had a ton of fun, although we got slightly rained on. I chased a witch hat down the road a couple too many times too, but it all worked out.

Kaya's Party at School

I got to sneak away from work for a few to drop in on my daughter's first real halloween party. It was a ton of fun to get to see her in full action with her friends that she spends so much of her time with. They even sang some of their songs for me. It was so much fun. She was happy to have me there, although she was very possessive of me. "That's MY Mommy!"
