but these were kaya's first few minutes...
She pretty much ran straight into the lake all excited, the water pressure slowed her down, and boom- flat on her face into the water. She was not happy! She got over it though and we had an awesome, relaxing weekend. We went to Big Star Fri-Sun, and then drove to my dad's cottage on Sat AM for a little while too.
Gma Sterk and Auntie Karen.
Kaya caught a fish! With some help from Gpa she reeled it in, and smiled pretty.

At my dad's Kaya got to ride on a 4 wheeler. She kept calling it a motorcycle, and then she called it a quad wheeler. (A mix between 4 wheeler and quad which she had heard both be used) Either way she thought it was awesome.

Gma Michelle strapping her all up, goggles and all.
The cool cat herself!! She wanted to wear the helmet back to Big Star to show Gma and Gpa Sterk. We told her pics would have to do.

Some good ole swimming in the lake.
I didn't think the swimmies were ever going to keep her up, but it ended up they worked great!! She had an awesome time, and was even using her swimming lesson skills. I was so proud!
Kaya and Auntie Karen way out there.

I thought this shadow pic was so cute.
Happy Father's Day!
For those of you who have been been to Big Star with us before will be able to see how flooded it is in the back of the cottage.
That post near the middle is where Jer's parents parking spot is. The area to the left of that and in front of the roped area is all usually grass. No water there. As you can see below it is now all water. In the spring there is sometimes some water there but it hasn't been this flooded before that I am aware of. We have had some crazy rain and storms lately.
Kaya got a bunch of hand me down clothes from Michelle's daughter/granddaughter. Some were in the car, and on the way home Kaya had to check them all out. In there was just the hood to the jacket... A nice look, I know.
Some good ole swimming in the lake.
