These were taken at Johnson Park where Jer and I got married 4 years ago next week. Thank goodness it is not planned in this spot at this time this year! Here is what the park currently looks like. Not exaggerating there were atleast 50 trees down within the perimeter of the park. It looked like a tornado came through.

I have been wanting a way to keep everyone updated on Kaya, and I thought this was a good way to do it. I hope everyone enjoys this, and I am doing my best to keep it updated as often as possible.

Fireworks!!
We went to my friend Joanne's house to watchthe Grandville foreworks. We were able to see them for her yard and it saved a lot of hassle. It worked out perfect! Kaya loved the fireworks, but was unsure how to handle not getting to bed until 11PM.
4th of July cookout
We had our 2nd annual 4th of July cookout with the Sutter's this year. As always we had a great time and the kids enjoyed playing together.

Fun on the swings. If only you could have heard the giggling and screaming that went along with this pic!
Leaving the park, and off to the fireworks... separately.
A parade with the family
We took Kaya to the Grandville parade this year for the 4th of July. She absolutely loved it. She was so excited about all the candy, other friends everywhere, and ofcourse all the cool stuff she got to see. Firetrucks, clowns, horses, ponies, trucks, bands, dancers, gymnastics, you name it and Kaya loved it. She couldn't get enough of it all.
She made this headband at school and was very proud of it. She even wore it through the grocery store one day.

Right up in on the action with the rest of them.
Showing her pride! God Bless America!

Trip to Kevin and Kristy's cottage
We took a trip to their cottage to hang out for a night. Kaya stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Sterk which we appreciated a ton! We had a ton of fun hanging out and relaxing.
Cosmo hanging out by the fire. Some pre-4th of July fireworks on the dock.

Our family is getting a puppy!
We decided we wanted to add a puppy into the Sterk household. Stir things up a little for us I am sure. So... this is the little girl Chihuahua we finally decided on. She does not quite have a name yet.
She is the lightest one above on top right, and the light one in the pic below. The little black one is the one I kind of fell in love with but both of my family members liked the other one. So the yellow one it is. They were all so cute, how do you decide anyway?? But, they were born on June 5 and were almost 4 ounces at birth. She weighed ours today for us and she was 13 ozs already. She is actually the smallest of the litter right now but was not the runt at birth. She will soon have a name and we will let you know. She will be coming home between 6 and 8 wks so not until approx. July 20 or so.

UPDATE: The puppy's name is officially Maci.
We can not wait to be able to take her home!

Tailgating at Jack Johnson
Some food, drinks, and fun in the parking lot before the show. We even grilled up some hotdogs. As you can see it was COLD!! We were layered all night. But we got no rain so the cold was okay.
