A great park day.

Another lovely day for Lamar. We have to take advantage while we are still getting them. These ducks apparently thought Kaya had food. Or she is the duck whisperer.

Nothing worse...

...than an annoying mom taking your picture the whole time you're trying to enjoy your Slurpee at the park. I sure do think they are cute though! But I would.

Go Spartans!

My brother had some tickets to the Spartan homecoming game, and luckily he asked me to come along. :) Tere were 8 of us together, and then more friends we met up with for tailgating. We had a blast! It was a very chilly morning, but it got really nice out later. I even had sunburn! It was great.
Kristy and Becki playing beer pong. Pretty sure they ended up losing to the boys.
The girls.
Kevin, happy as could be. Go Spartans!!
It was a great game!
I love the pic of the huddle.

Mosquito heaven...

We met the Sutter Family at the park and ended up not staying very long at all. As we started walking the trail the mosquitos were progressively getting worse and worse, we decided to turn around and head back to the car, and all of the sudden we were practically running to the car! The mosquitos were absolutely unbearable. Kaya decided she wasn't ready to get in the car so I quick took some pics...I love this pic of my girl's beautiful long blonde hair.
Kaya is waving to Kaleb. who was safely in the car at that point.
After taking these quick pics, I looked up and there were mosquitos on 2 of my 4 exposed knuckles! Needless to say we got right in the car and left!
But... I did get some cute pics out of the mess!

Hanging out with the Pitzer's

It has been so nice being able to get the kids together now that Sara is back in Michigan. Kaya loves hanging out with Addison again, and never wants to go home. The 2 girls are impossible to get a good picture of. Neither one of them will look at me, and if 1 does the other certainly does not.
This one on the other hand doesn't stop smiling!
Giggling with Jer.

The mind of a 2 year old...

Kaya brings home artwork every day from school, but this is her 1st project that they had asked for her to answer a question and then wrote her response. This is what my daughter had to say...That would be a great answer if we had cut trees together at some point. We have gathered wood, and broken sticks, and trimmed hedges, have bonfires, and the list goes on, but we have never "cut the trees". It's great to think what else she tells her teachers about us.

Amen Park with my girl.

She was throwing sticks over the bridge, and then came back with that huge one. Over it went.

Not sure if you can tell in the pic but the woodpeckers have taken over this tree. It was pretty cool.

A great accomplishment...

While it lasted.
For a quick second, more like twice, Kaya decided showers were awesome. We had been wanting her to try it for a while now but she has always freaked out. Well, it worked twice for some reason and she was so proud! Now she is freaking out about it again and has no reason why. Maybe some day our water bill will go down, hopefully...

Dancing with JoJo...

Kaya loves dancing, and she loves JoJo, so when JoJo wanted to dance on Fri night Kaya was all about it.

True Story...

So... this geranium was given to me in April 2007 by my good friend Amy Sobesky when she moved to Colorado. She re-potted it right before giving it to me, and the very next day it was a sad, sad sight. It was wilty and so unhappy. It struggled a while, then came to life for a while. It came inside all winter long and stayed alive, sometimes not so easily. Throughout all of this my husband has told me to throw it away quite a few times, and had no faith in the poor plant, or me for that matter. :) After then being back outside since Spring and still looking hideous and after being flooded and drowned a couple times, here is proof the geranium is still alive and better than ever!! And it is such a gorgeous color! Who would have ever imagined?? So... my husband is going to have to live with the geranium inside all winter long again, and there is now proof that hard work and a little faith pay off in the end. (It's fun to get to prove your husband wrong occasionally too :) )
Thanks to Amy for the beautiful plant, I hope you enjoy the pic, and I can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks!!

Having fun!

I let Kaya go to town with her finger paints, and she had a ball. She loves art projects, and thought it was cool that I let her get her hands so dirty.
